Protect Your Brand
I love scrolling through IG (during my weekly #smallbusinesssaturday shopping sprees) and coming across those of you that are taking initiative to protect your businesses and brands. It warms my heart.
Take it from this retired softball player: the best defense is a good offense! Especially when it comes to your brand.
You work SO hard building your business and creating brand equity that truly resonates with your users/customers/followers. You spend money, time, and effort. You strategize, create, plan, hustle, sacrifice, advertise, and sell - but after all of that, are you properly protecting your business and yourself?
Here are some basic things you absolutely should be doing to cover your business butt . Below are my five ways to protect your business:
1. Trademark your business/brand name.
2. Register your original work/content for copyright protection.
3. File for an appropriate business entity.
4. Monitor your protected material for infringement.
5. Always use contracts.
Schedule a time to chat with me if you have questions on how to protect your brand!
