Copyright Corner

Copyright protection exists for “original works of authorship fixed in any tangible medium of expression.” Typically, you can protect your creative works such as books, blog posts, photographs, even podcasts. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Just a few weeks ago, #RBG (& a unanimous Supreme Court) laid down some serious new case law. The ruling said that if you want to bring a lawsuit for infringement of your copyright, you MUST have already successfully registered your copyright with the U.S. Copyright Office!
⁣⁣
What does this mean for you? Well...if you’ve been thinking about / holding off on / avoiding registering your copyright altogether, *now* is a great time to register! Always protect your hard work! Questions? Email me!
