Here’s your mini-checklist for LOVING + protecting your business + brand!

1. File for an appropriate business entity to avoid personal liability. ⁣(LLC, Corp, etc.)⁣⁣ This very much depends on what your business is and what stage it’s in, so always make sure you’re ready to take this legal AND financial step.

2. Clear your business name to ensure you’re safe to use it - and then file for trademark protection to secure ownership & capitalize on licensing! ⁣⁣

3. Register your original work/content for copyright protection.⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀

4. Monitor your protected material for infringement - because if you don’t, this could negatively affect your brand!

5. Always get it in writing (contracts for every deal you make, every partnership you enter, etc.)⁣⁣⠀
