Cal OPPA [California Online Privacy Protection Act] applies to businesses operating in CA and makes it necessary to include a privacy policy on your website if you:⁣

+ with an online website 💻

+ that collects personally identifiable information from visitors to your website. (Personally identifiable information includes things like SSN, name, address, phone number, email address, etc.) 🗂

If this is you, your privacy policy will need to be conspicuously posted, and will need to include several important disclosures. ⁣

Also note this: since websites are accessible worldwide, it’s smart to make sure you’re also in compliance with all applicable privacy policies, *including* Europe’s GDPR, + possible others.
