There’s so many different ways to “share” something on social media. ⁣

But do you ever stop to make sure that you’re legally ALLOWED to post or repost that quote/picture/screenshot/etc.?⁣ ⁣

⁣⁣⁣So here’s how you ensure that your IG content is legally safe to post.⁣

1. Create your own content as often as you can. If you personally took that beautiful sunset photo - then by all means, post away! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣

2. If you’re posting something that you did not personally write/take a photo of/ create, be careful. Copyright law protects original works of others. Simply giving someone credit for their visual, auditory, or written copyrighted work (via @/tags) on IG is NOT enough! You MUST get their consent! ⁣
⁣⁣
Believe me when I say - I know that you can’t always create your *own* content – which means you will inevitably use someone else’s photos or posts at some point.⁣
⠀⁣
But I see that many of you aren’t doing this...and therefore you’re reposting on IG/social media/online illegally. ⠀⁣

The good news? I have a super-simple fix for you! ⠀⁣
⠀⁣
I created a FREE guide to provide you with the right information & tools you need to repost LEGALLY! The guide ALSO includes a done-for-you content permission script! ⠀⁣

⁣ In more complex scenarios, consent will involve a license or assignment to use another person’s photos, their written content, or perhaps even their recorded works. ⁣

[Here, I suggest you work with an attorney to make sure you keep yourself protected⁣]⁣
