I see a lot of sharing of email lists. This can be a HUGE no-no if done incorrectly. ⁣

Also, don’t hide the ball. The best way to ensure that you’re in compliance with both California law and the GDPR, you’ll need to be super transparent with your email subscriber opt-in description. That means you cannot hide the fact that your new subscriber just signed up for a weekly email blast if all they wanted was that awesome freebie of yours. ⁣

Most email providers also offer double opt-ins, which are a great tool to protect you. ⁣
