The 6 Essentials Your Virtual Assistant Agreement Needs👇🏼⠀

We love our virtual assistants. They save us time , our butts , & help us make us more money!⠀

But our relationship with our Virtual Assistant/Social Media Manager is still a biz relationship. You’ve heard me say this a million times but I’ll say it again – you need this agreement in WRITING‼️⠀

...& I don’t mean back and forth emails - I’m talking a clear, concise contract.

VA’s are a direct extension of us, our brands, & our businesses - not a relationship to take lightly.⠀

Here’s the 6 things that you NEED to have in your VA Agreement ⠀

1) Services : Outline what your VA is responsible for. This keeps you both on the same page & protects both of you if there’s dispute about what tasks to be done.⠀

2) Payment: Include amount of payment and also the form of payment. Include who is responsible for expenses incurred by the VA in doing work for you.⠀

3) Term : How long will the VA be working with you? Does the relationship renew at a certain point? If you two just aren’t hitting it off, how can you terminate the relationship?⠀

4) Intellectual Property: Perhaps the MOST crucial part of your agreement with your VA. Did you know that if you don’t clearly lay out that the VA’s work that he/she creates for you is work made for hire – then they could actually OWN everything they do for you and try to walk away with all that they’ve created?!⠀

5) Contractor Status: It must also be very clear in your contract that your VA will remain an independent contractor. If you don’t clarify this relationship, this can muddy the waters and you do NOT want to find yourself owing your VA benefits, etc. because you did not properly classifiy them! ⠀

6) Liability: In case the VA does something wrong, illegal, etc. – you don’t want to be held liable for what is done if you can help it. ⠀
