You can use the copyright symbol (©️) to show you are claiming ownership over something you've created.

For example:

Put the copyright symbol, "©️” the owner of the copyright, and the year - and voila! You're now showing your intent to claim your copyright(s)!

But be careful - the ©️ symbol works kind of like a beware of dog sign.

If you use the ©️, but you haven't actually registered your creation, it’s similar to having a beware of dog sign without actually having the protection of your security pup.

…meaning, it *might* protect you by preventing others from copying your work - but when it really comes down to it, if you haven't registered your work with the US Copyright Office, you're going to have a VERY hard time enforcing your rights.

You should - and NEED - to protect anything you’ve created that you feel is at risk of getting stolen or copied - especially if you are making money from it!⁣
