6 things you may be surprised to find out about the ™️ process:

1. You don’t need an LLC or corporation to file your application. You can apply as an individual, sole proprietor, a partner, etc.

2. It takes a really long time. As of the date of this post, the USPTO is taking 8.5 months to initially review your application.

3. Your application will be public - meaning anyone can search it on USPTO.gov.

4. You’ll need a login account to apply on your own.

5. You don’t even need to be selling yet! You only need to have a bona fide intent to sell in the future (we suggest at least in the next 2-3 years).

6. Talking to an attorney early could save you years of wasted time and thousands of wasted dollars - we know what we’re doing. 😉
